NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Over winter break, the Anoka-Hennepin Schools negotiation team met with Anoka Hennepin Education Minnesota (AHEM) twice - on Dec. 30 and again on Jan. 2 - in an effort to continue to find a solution for an updated agreement that both values the impact of teachers and recognizes the tight budget parameters that are a reality in our school district.

The process to determine an updated working agreement for Anoka-Hennepin Education Minnesota (AHEM) will continue in mediation following a four-hour negotiation session held today at the Educational Services Center in Anoka. The school district provided a proposal for the AHEM negotiators to consider and discussion will continue at the next scheduled mediation session set for Friday, Jan. 2.
